Walmart to Have New Supercentre in Sarasota

Walmart are to increase the size of their University Parkway supermarket and change it into a Supercentre. It is expected that the work will be complete by early 2011, the Supercentre will cover 175,000 square feet. Walmart will stay open while the work is carried out at the Sarasota,

Florida, Supercentre, and work to demolish the Fashion Bug store starts next month.
Heritage Development Co., owners of the University Parkway Shopping Centre, have built a Walgreens drug store on the site. The Walgreens store should be open in the next few weeks, and will have a drive through service.
